Hello, I am so excited to teach your student! I am an experienced teacher with a Bachelor of Science in Elementry Education and a 120-hour TEFOL Certificate. I have been teaching in a variety of settings including teaching in public schools, private schools, one on one tutoring, teaching online, and being a camp counselor. I love teaching online and I am so excited to share my passions with your student. A few of my areas of expertise are exploring living animals, English as a Second Language, and Learning Through Travel and Exploration.
As a student, I was a counselor at a few different summer camps where I was in charge of leading the students on exploration hikes and experiments. I would guide the students to investigate different bugs and animals. I strived to help build their curiosity about all living things and their importance in the world. I have always had a passion for learning about all animals. I received my PADI Dive Master certificate in 2015 and worked teaching young students how to scuba dive.
In college, I received my endorsement in Language Arts and for the past year and a half, I have been teaching ESL online and making connections with students from all around the world. I love teaching the English language and introducing students to American culture. I work with students learning English at many different levels and have fun, creative ways to help them retain the new language.
I also love teaching about geography and traveling. I have been lucky enough to travel a lot of North America and most of Central America. Examples of things I will include in my lessons are locations of the capital, important cities, and landmarks. I will discuss different cultures, traditions, and I will teach basic words or phrases from the native language of each country. I am excited to share the knowledge I have gained from personal experiences while traveling and learning in different countries. Teaching and traveling are my two biggest passions.
I pride myself on making a connection with my students and I encourage them to share the knowledge they have on every topic. I will be sharing personal videos and photographs from each location that I will be teaching about and look forward to having your student share theirs in class.
Please feel free to reach out to ask any questions you have and please follow my profile for upcoming classes. I look forward to seeing your student in class soon.
